Guru Veena Murthy Vijay

My association with Guru Veena Murthy has been a truly magical experience, one that has enriched my journey as a dancer in several ways. It all began when I expressed my desire to learn the art of Simhanandini and I was referred to learn by Guru Veena Murthy. 

 

Upon meeting Guru Veena Murthy, I was struck by her sweet and warm demeanor, which instantly connected us at a different level.  Guru Veena Murthy's exemplary skills in abhinaya inspired me to explore the various nuances of this art form. 

 

As we continued to work together, Guru Veena Murthy found an innate talent within me that she nurtured to further my progression. She has always been very encouraging and supportive, which has been a significant factor in my growth as a dancer. 

 

Guru Veena Murthy's kindness and willingness to guide me toward an authentic source for Yakshagana training is something that I am grateful for. She has even helped me academically, guiding me through several paper presentations and helping me think and present as a dancer, for any kind of repertoire.

 

I am deeply grateful for the influence that Guru Veena Murthy has had on my dancing career, and I will always cherish our association.
