My passion for dance started at a young age when I started learning Kuchipudi and continued to grow when I joined Kaivalya arts in 2021. I received individualized instruction and a deep understanding of the meaning of each dance I learned, allowing me to truly connect with and enjoy every dance piece that I learned. I performed at various venues throughout the city of Chicago and nearby suburbs to promote Indian classical art forms. During this time, I completed my Junior Certificate in Kuchipudi from Sampada and am now working on my rangapravesham (debut performance). I also started to volunteer within the school to prepare instructional materials and help with teaching as a student teacher. I enjoy learning and performing dance pieces with deep meanings that resonate with me. I hope the meanings from my dances are able to make a positive impact on those that watch. I am looking forward to performing more and continuing to further my Kuchipudi education for the rest of my high school years and after!

I had the privilege to watch the beautiful Kuchipudi recital on Tulasi. The entire presentation was graceful, expressive, and deeply rooted in devotion. Srivani’s performance truly brought the story to life with exceptional stage presence and elegance. Every movement felt effortless, fluid, and expressive,  reflecting both strong technique and genuine passion for the art form.

Your abhinaya was especially captivating — delicate, powerful, and emotionally moving all at once. A memorable performance that left the audience completely immersed. Looking forward to many more great performances from her.

Srivani, your dance performance was a hit at the Heritage Grove Middle School Multicultural event. Your grace and expression—words are very few to explain about you. The best part was that you explained everything about our Hindu Gods , which was next level. It was very surprising for me, as it was the first time I watched it in person. It was the best thing to see you dancing. Thanks again for taking the time and performing, showing our culture !

Srivani is a true professional of Indian Dance. I was amazed at her performance of Tulasi. I was enchanted watching the story unfold through her dance. She is passionate about her art and wishes to share her talent with the community through Kaivalya Arts. I’m thankful to have Srivani and her family as our neighbor.
